The pharmaceutical industry has developed regulations to protect patients and provide quality-assured, safe, and effective products. Ensure product quality, temperature ranges, and other parameters are defined during product risk assessment. When designing a facility, the Building Management System (BMS) is an integral part of the design. A BMS manages many services within a facility, including the building's temperature and humidity environment, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), with transmitters throughout the facility. To ensure that the BMS is properly controlling the HVAC system, an environmental monitoring system (EMS). EMS will monitor all key control parameters defined during product risk assessment at key locations defined during facility certification.

GxP quality guidelines developed by regulatory agencies cover product quality throughout the product life cycle. The GxP guidelines state that must calibrate the area used for temperature and humidity monitoring with monitoring equipment to comply with the guidelines. Typically, transmitters are factory calibrated, but drift over time requires periodic calibration. What is a Digital Humidity Transmitter ?


A digital transmitter is a measuring device that emits a digital signal. The main advantage of digital transmitters compared to analog transmitters is the information sent. Analog transmitters will only send MA or voltage values (converted to measurements), while digital transmitters can send more data such as:
Measurements,
devise serial number,
device status,
calibration data,
Adjust data

 

The digital temperature and humidity transmitter can be calibrated/adjusted by the user. They can be widely used as the output of the 485  in various application fields that need to measure temperature and humidity environmental data.

 

The Main Advantage of a Digital Humidity Transmitter :

HENGKO digital temperature and humidity transmitters communicate with data loggers (wired or wireless), and all communication with servers and databases is done digitally, so there is no loss of accuracy during data transmission. Unlike analog transmitters, no loop checks are required during device installation and qualification/validation.

A major advantage of using digital sensors in EMS is the available data and reduced downtime, which is especially effective during calibration or service.

With analog sensors, calibration can be performed in a calibration laboratory (internal or external) or the field if the application allows it. The loop check is carried out simultaneously if the calibration is carried out in the field. The equipment needs to be removed for calibrations performed in the laboratory (resulting in system downtime).
