Gas-Liquid inter-phase reactions are common in Chemical industry. Reactions like Hydrogenation, Oxidation, Chlorination require sparging gases to be mixed thoroughly in a two phase reaction. These bubbles move upwards very fast and effective mixing and reaction cannot take place. This leads to high consumption gases, usually 2-3 times more than that required by stoichiometric calculation.
