Temperature And Humidity Requirements For Edible Mushroom Cultivation

Temperature And Humidity Requirements For Edible Mushroom Cultivation

As You Know Edible mushrooms usually prefer warm and humid climatic conditions.

Each species of edible mushroom has its requirements and level of adaptation to abiotic factors (temperature and humidity).

Therefore, you need hengko's temperature and humidity sensor probes to monitor changes in temperature and humidity data at all times.

1. Temperature.

The growth and reproduction of edible mushrooms are carried out at a certain temperature, the temperature is suitable, and its vital activity is vigorous. Below or above the suitable temperature, its vitality will be reduced or slowed down.

Using the thermometer, according to the optimum temperature required by edible mycelium, it can be divided into three categories.

Low-temperature type: The optimum temperature is 24℃~28℃, such as Park mushroom, Sliding mushroom, Pine mushroom, and the minimum temperature is 30℃.

Medium temperature type: the optimum temperature is 24℃~30℃, such as mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, silver fungus, and black fungus, the maximum temperature is 32℃~34℃.

High-temperature type: the optimal temperature is 28℃~34℃, such for straw mushrooms, and fu ling, and the minimum temperature is 36℃.

Based on the relationship between zygotic differentiation (the beginning of protoplasts) and temperature, edible mushrooms can be divided into two categories.

a. Low-temperature type. The maximum temperature is not allowed to be higher than 24℃, and the optimum temperature should be lower than 20℃, such as shiitake mushroom, park mushroom, mushroom, and purple spore flat mushroom.

b. Medium temperature type. The maximum temperature can exceed 30℃, and the optimum temperature should be higher than 24℃, such as straw mushroom, anchovy mushroom, abalone mushroom.

Generally speaking, the optimum temperature for substratum development is lower than the optimum temperature for mycelium growth. According to the relationship between temperature change and substratum growth and development, edible mushrooms can be divided into

1) Constant temperature solidity, that is, maintaining a certain constant temperature can form substratum. For example, Park mushroom, mushroom, monkey head, black fungus, straw mushroom, etc.

2) Variable temperature fructification, i.e. substrates are formed only when the temperature changes; substrates are not easily formed under constant temperature conditions. Such as shiitake and a flat mushroom.

Since the zygotes contain more organic compounds, such as proteins and sugars, than the mycelium, the water content is particularly high and very susceptible to pathogens. Therefore, the temperature at which the zygotes occur should be controlled slightly lower during the cultivation process.

2. Moisture and humidity.

Because edible mushroom is like moist organisms, whether it is spore germination or mycelium growth, the substrate needs a certain amount of moisture and air quite humidity. Without moisture, there is no life. Edible mushrooms need moisture in all stages of growth and development, and their seeds need more water. The water mainly comes from the cultivation material, and only when the substrate contains sufficient water can the seeds form.

Cultivated material often loses moisture through evaporation or harvesting, so sprays are usually applied as appropriate. The water content algorithm calculates the percentage of water in the wet material. In general, the moisture content of culture material suitable for edible mushroom growth is about 60%. which can be monitored by temperature and humidity sensors for a long time.
